Internet Marketing is more relevant today than it ever was…
With the entire World Population being advised to “StayAtHome”, more and more people are going online for solutions. Therefore, as a business owner, it is critical that you position your business to be found by people who go online to search for products and services you offer.
Let’s get into how you can achieve that…
Why You Should Be Marketing Online.
Answer me this…
Where’s the first place a person goes to when they need information on any subject?
They go online! Right?
It doesn’t matter whether a person is looking to buy a pair of shoes or searching for tips on how to lose weight…Chances are, the first place they’ll go for information will be the internet.
According to World Internet Stats, there are well over 4,5 billion people worldwide who use the internet…
So, as an entrepreneur, can you imagine the impact it would have on your business if you could tap into even just a small fraction of this market?
How to show up when customers search for what you offer.
When someone conducts a search on Google, there are basically two types of results that come up:
- Generic Results and
- Paid-for Adverts.
Here’s an example…
If you typed in “Antique Furniture” into Google Search, you’ll have a paid-for advert (Ad) at the top of the results page… …And Generic Results below that…
Now if you’ve ever conducted a few searches on Google, you’ll know that very few people pay much attention to what appears below the first five results …let alone what’s on the second page!
You want your ideal target market to see your offer first before they see what you competition can offer.
Stay ahead of your competition with Google Ads.
So how can you ensure that your offer is the first one that people see when they “google” services or products you offer?
Well, there are basically two ways:
- Content Marketing. You can create relevant online content that is made to rank high in the search engines. (e.g. Blog posts; Youtube Videos; Social Media posts; etc…) When Google has determined that your content is more relevant than that of your competitors, they will position it first in the generic results.
- Advertising on the Google Ads platform. You can use Google’s “pay-per-click” program to create adverts that Google will show above the Generic Results. You’d only pay when people click on your adverts to get to a Landing Page of your choice.
Now… Creating content that ranks high enough to appear on the top of search results takes a lot of time and work.
Plus, you’ll be facing stiff competition from well-established websites that are already providing similar services. Notice that the first three generic search results in our example are occupied by some powerful websites – Junk Mail; Bidorbuy; and OLX.
Outranking these sites with content alone would be a mammoth task for any small business.
A much more effective way to ensure that Google Search users find your business is by paying Google to place your adverts above the generic results…Just like what Tapolasky did.
So, the most effective way to ensure that people who are searching for your services and products find you is to advertise on the Google Ads platform.
Over to you …
